Vrijdag 8 januari zal er weer een praatronde zijn op de repeater van Peer op 145662.5 MHz met een subtoon van 131.8 Hz. We beginnen om 20h. Dit keer zullen we het enkel houden met wat korte mededelingen, en de presentielijst. Kort daarna zal er een afspraak zijn via een algemene chat via internet.

In fact there has never been a better time to do this, with readily accessible building blocks and high spec test equipment available at bargain basement prices, or, in the case of software, absolutely free.

Starting out on the microwaves bands – Neil G4LDR
‘Starting Out on the Microwave Bands’ will provide basic information needed to understand the microwave bands and how to become operational on them.
Topics covered will include:
- What are the microwave bands
- Propagation properties and microwave beacons
- What classes of licence can use which microwave bands
- Equipment requirements including antennas and transverters
- Examples of typical equipment including simple wideband systems
- Operating on the microwave bands including satellites, contests and activity periods
- Resources to help you get going on the microwave bands
Those who become operational on the microwave bands will find there are plenty of opportunities to try the many aspects of this part of the hobby. These include operating portable from a hill top using relatively simple equipment; satellite operating; DXing; trying different operating modes including CW, voice, digital and even DATV; right through to probably the most challenging part of the hobby, moonbounce or EME.

Naast de berichtgeving binnen NOL en de presentielijst die via de repeater van Peer (ONØNL) gehouden worden, dit keer ook een presentatie die via JITSI wordt gegeven (online).

De presentatie gaat over het testen en verbeteren van vertikale antennes op HF. Deze wordt door Miguel, ON7MV gegeven.
Miguel is al een hele tijd bezeig om zijn RX en TX te verbeteren, vooral voor de lage banden (40 – 80 en 160m). Op 2 jaar tijd is hij van een enkele vertical geevalueerd tot een ‘four square’ die kan geschakeld worden naar de richting naar behoeven door faseverschuivingen.
Iedereen die aanlogd, wordt ervan verwacht dat hij zich aanmeld met call (of SWL nummer) en naam.

Beste radiovrienden,
Helaas kon de radiokampweek dit jaar niet door gaan. In het voorjaar werd Nederland overvallen door het Corona virus en lag het land grotendeels plat. De beperkingen op vakantieparken waren dermate groot dat het niet mogelijk was om een fatsoenlijke radiokampweek te organiseren.
Nu, zoveel maanden later is het virus nog steeds volop actief, maar weten we er beter op te anticiperen. Op het moment van schrijven zijn er nog volop maatregelen, maar zijn de beperkingen niet zo groot als in het afgelopen voorjaar.
We weten nog niet hoe we er voor staan in mei 2021, ondanks alles gaan we er wel vanuit dat we, al dan niet met de nodige beperkingen, een radiokampweek kunnen gaan organiseren. De deelnemers die in 2020 niet naar Streekpark Klein Oisterwijk zijn geweest hebben een voucher ontvangen, deze kan eventueel ingezet worden voor de Radiokampweek 2021.
Alle deelnemers uit 2020 hebben we inmiddels per mail benaderd en daarvan weten we grotendeels wat de wensen zijn voor 2021. We gaan daarom ook weer starten met het inschrijven voor de radiokampweek 2021.
Op 1 januari 2021 zal het online inschrijfformulier weer beschikbaar komen via onze website www.radiokampweek.nl. Indien je daarop inschrijft, zullen we na de indeling dit doorgeven aan Streekpark Klein Oisterwijk. Ik kan me voorstellen dat er deelnemers zijn die willen afwachten welke maatregelen tegen die tijd actief zijn, houd er wel rekening mee dat binnenlandse vakanties op dit moment erg in trek zijn en er dan geen garantie kan worden gegeven op een kampeerplaats of huurobject.
In overleg met Streekpark Klein Oisterwijk gaan we kijken welke activiteiten wel of niet door kunnen gaan. We hopen toch in 2021 een leuke en gezellige radiokampweek voor iedereen te kunnen neerzetten.
