DIRAGE staat voor DIesters RAdio GEbeuren. Onder deze benaming organiseert UBA-DST sinds 1986 haar jaarlijkse beurs voor radioamateurs waar zowel tweedehands- als nieuw materiaal voor radioamateurs te koop wordt aangeboden. In de beginjaren was DIRAGE een sterk lokaal gericht evenement waar vooral de clubleden hun overbodig geworden hammateriaal probeerden kwijt te geraken, we waren toen al tevreden met een honderdtal bezoekers. De voortdurende groei van zowel de hoeveelheid materiaal als het bezoekersaantal dwong ons om meerdere malen naar een grotere lokatie te verhuizen, tot we in 2007 tot de vaststelling kwamen dat Diest te klein geworden was voor ons evenement.
De verhuis in 2008 naar een moderne en ruime lokatie was voor UBA-DST meteen ook een uitnodiging om van het oude, vertrouwde concept van DIRAGE af te stappen en onze hambeurs frisser en aantrekkelijker te maken.
Een grotere diversiteit van het aangeboden tweedehands materiaal, een uitgebreid gamma van nieuwe amateurtoestellen en antennes, de kans om tijdens een voordracht met demonstratie een nieuwe mode/materiaal van onze hobby te leren kennen, alsook het feit dat we aanverwante hobby’s de kans geven zich te tonen …. maken dat DIRAGE een begrip geworden is in ON en de place to be is voor een breed radioamateur publiek.

Deze wedstrijden zijn GRATIS.
De tijdsregistratie gebeurt voor de 80m-Foxoring en de 2m-ARDF
met QR-codes (gedetailleerd) of klassiek. De wedstrijd begint met
de 80m-Foxoring. Start vanaf 13u00 of later. Na terugkeer van de
Foxoring kan men opnieuw starten voor de 2m-ARDF. Men kan zijn
deelname beperken tot ofwel de Foxoring, ofwel de 2m-ARDF. Er
worden afzonderlijke klassementen opgemaakt.
Er is een cafetaria (Zaal Holheide), maar geen kleedkamers.
Enkele dagen voordien worden kaarten in kleur verzonden via
ARDF@groups.io. Ter plaatse zijn kaarten in zwart/wit ter
beschikking.

Mark is the founder of Contest University UK and is the current holder of the all-time England record for the CQWW CW, CQ WPX CW and IOTA contests as well as many more single band records. He is a member of the K3LR Multi-Multi USA and TI7W Costa Rica Teams and also a committee member for CQ World Wide.

The story of Jodrell Bank –
Ian G0DMU.
Professor Ian Morison, G0DMU will give a review of the history of Jodrell Bank, one of the world’s premier radio astronomy observatories; from its founding in 1945, the completion of the Mk I (now Lovell) radio telescope in 1957 – still the third largest fully steerable telescope in the world – and the building of the MERLIN array in the 1980s and 90s.
The MERLIN array has the same resolution as the Hubble Space Telescope and many collaborative observations have been made over the past 30 years. Its seven telescopes also link up with others across Europe to provide an instrument whose resolution far exceeds that of optical telescopes.
Some of its most exciting discoveries will be discussed in the context of how radio observations are made – many of which can complement those made by optical telescopes.

Hambeurs Noorderkempen
Een Hambeurs, wat is dat??
Omdat er heel wat bouwers en elektronica knutselaars in de club zitten, is dit ook het moment om aan elektronische onderdelen te geraken. Naast onderdelen, kabels en pluggen kan je er gebruikte en nieuwe zenders aanschaffen.
Toegankelijk voor iedereen?
Om toegang tot de beurs te krijgen vraagt de club een democratische toegangsprijs van slechts 2€. Jong of oud, leek of expert. Het maakt niet uit, iedereen is welkom.
Het is ook de ideale plek om contacten aan te halen met collega radioamateurs. Naast radio apparatuur zijn er er ook altijd computer onderdelen te vinden. De standhouders komen van heinde en ver en onze clubleden verlenen logistieke ondersteuning (drankjes, belegde broodjes, hotdogs, en niet te vergeten onze welbekende heerlijke verse soep).
