Verspreiding van het coronavirus: De DNAT 2020 vindt niet plaats. Wij vragen om uw begrip !
Zoals gevreesd, moeten we onze DNAT dit jaar 2020 annuleren. Samen met onze partners in Bad Bentheim hebben we het volgende overwogen. We maken ons in de eerste plaats grote zorgen. Het virus is niet verdwenen. Een vaccin is op korte termijn net zo onwaarschijnlijk als een medicijn. Om de radiovlooienmarkt in een gesloten ruimte, de Schürkamphalle, te laten plaatsvinden, achten wij niet verantwoord. We willen ook geen alibi geven voor veel mensen die in het kader van ons DNAT-programma samen komen. We vragen onze radiozendamateur vrienden hiervoor om hun begrip.
We kunnen u dus alleen maar vragen om de komende jaren trouw te blijven aan de DNAT.
We beloven u de komende tijd nuttig te zullen gebruiken om de DNAT 2021 van 26 tot 29 augustus een zendamateur evenement te maken dat de zijn weerga niet kent.

Dit jaar vindt de Ballonvossenjacht alweer voor de 42e keer plaats. Het evenement is gepland op zondag 20 september 2020. Als de weergoden ons goed gezind zijn wordt om 13.00 uur de welbekende sonde opgelaten aan een stratosfeerballon die meestal een hoogte van 30+ kilometer bereikt. De sonde blijft normaal gesproken zo’n anderhalf tot twee uur in de lucht waarbij vele actieve peilers tot het uiterste gaan om de dalende sonde als eerste te bereiken. De organisatie zal de ballon dit jaar wederom vanaf een geheime plek in Nederland oplaten. Daardoor is het niet meer mogelijk om op basis van computerberekeningen de landingsplaats vooraf te bepalen, zodat het weer een écht peilevenement gaat worden. Vorig jaar bleek dit te voldoen aan de verwachtingen van de deelnemers, dat een nieuw record bereikte. Liefst 45 equipes bereikten de landingsplaats. Het jaar daarvoor waren het er zelf 53, een nieuw record.
Om de ballon zelfstandig op te laten was het nodig dat de ballon gewicht verloor. Hierdoor is de bakenzender op 145.4500 MHz. komen te vervallen om zo stroom te besparen en gewicht te verliezen. Deelnemers zullen dus moeten peilen op de uitgang van de transponder op 145.4750 MHz. of moeten peilen op de uitgang van de ATV-zender op 1252 MHz.
De ballon is te volgen via de (stream van) ATV-repeaters PI6HVS en PI6ATV. Maar natuurlijk kun je de beelden ook zelf proberen te ontvangen. De ballon zendt videobeelden uit op 1252 MHz.

In response to the UK’s continuing social distancing regulations, the RSGB Convention Committee has changed the arrangements for this year’s event and is holding an online Convention on Saturday, 10 October 2020
The programme will be split into two streams and whether you’re a new licensee or have been enjoying amateur radio for many years there will be a range of topics from expert speakers that you can enjoy free throughout the day.
