100 Years of BBC Technology and Innovation – David G7URP
The year 2022 marks the centenary of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) and whilst it is well known for its programme making and public service broadcasting, the BBC has also been responsible for introducing a wide range of technological innovations such as CEEFAX, RDS and VERA, Britain’s first videotape recorder.
On this Tonight @ 8 webinar David Palmer, G7URP takes a look at some of these pioneering creations, many of which still form the backbone of modern broadcasting.

In this talk Heather will cover an introduction to flying HABs (High Altitude Balloons), the radio systems involved, some science experiments she did on their flights, the recovery system she developed to help find the payload when it lands and, of course, lots of pictures from “almost” the edge of space.

Voor iedereen die er zin in heeft toegankelijk, zoals gewoonlijk, zeker als de molen draait.
Deze speciale gelegenheid is ter ere van de Amstel Gold Race , op zondag ochtend komen de dames enkele keren langs.
Mooi uitzicht vanuit de molen. PA6TIEN is dan ook actief.
Zaterdag is de molen bereikbaar. Vooral in de avonduren is te profiteren van de ruis arme omgeving. De molenaar zijn alteijd bereid een glas met je te klinken ( om warm te blijven) .
Mocht je op zondag mee willen doen, kom dan op tijd, want de weg zal afgezet zijn wegens de Amstel Gold Race wedstrijden.
Gezamelijk zal er een BBQ gehouden worden.
Graag minstens een weekje van te voren laten weten aan PD0DX of PA3CBH dat je meedoet, ivm de molenaars niet voor verrassingen te laten staan.
Altijd welkom je apparatuur, antenne en batterijtje op de tafel voor de molen te installeren.

De radiomarkt vindt plaats op Recreatiepark de Paalberg te Ermelo. Deze nieuwe locatie zal voor de bezoeker ongetwijfeld betekenen dat er naast de bekende ook nieuwe verkopers te vinden zullen zijn, én voor de verkopers weer een gedeeltelijk nieuw publiek. Voor de standhouders veranderen de voorwaarden niet:
- We gaan weer proberen om voor zoveel mogelijk standhouders het mogelijk te maken om auto/bus/aanhangen achter de kraam te plaatsen.
- Het is voor standhouders die van ver moeten komen mogelijk om te overnachten. Neem hiervoor zelf contact op met Recreatiepark de Paalberg voor een boeking.
Openingstijden
De radiomarkt is geopend voor verkoop van 8.00 uur ’s morgens tot circa 15.30 uur ’s middags. Voor verkopers is het marktterrein geopend vanaf 7.00 uur tot 7.45 uur voor het opbouwen. De verkopers kunnen op twee manieren hun waar aanbieden. Je kunt een kraam huren of deelnemen aan de kofferbak verkoop.
